Recently, Baidu suddenly announced that Baidu Webmaster is no longer supporting sitemap XML document format index, the previous submissions need to be deleted by the webmasters themselves!

A sitemap is simply a collection of page lists on a website. The webmaster can edit it himself and submit a sitemap to Baidu Webmaster. This helps Baidu spiders discover and crawl web page information to improve website inclusion. For sitemap, Baidu specifies three formats including XML, TXT and Sitemap index format. The general xml format contains more information, such as update time and importance. TXT only contains URLs, so most websites use xml format.

Baidu Webmaster will no longer support sitemap XML map documents. Ordinary submission and dead-chain submission tools no longer support indexed sitemap files.
